James Cooper, a PT by trade in 2024 is running a marathon every single day.

Not content with a normal year James is running 366 daily marathons (thanks leap year) in aid of ‘The Samaritans’.

After a difficult time with his mental health 10 years ago, he turned to running having never done it before and entered his first marathon. Since then he has completed an endurance challenge every year, from marathons, to ultras and triathlons, all to raise money for charities like ‘The Samaritans’ as well as raising awareness of his own initiative ‘Smilinggg’.

In this conversation Ben and James chat about how you go about training for such a monumental challenge, what he fears and excites him and why you should really take the pressure off yourself if you’re just starting out on your running journey!
