Becky empowers masters athletes and women navigating peri-menopause to unlock their full potential through personalized run coaching. She says NO to intermittent fasting for menopausal athletes and gives very important reasons why.
She talks about the importance of representation and resources for menopausal athletes. Becky talks about being very careful about the information you read/get about menopause. Stay curious and reach out for support. She says that menopause doesn't have an age and that it's not something scary; it's a natural transition. Partners need to LISTEN to the person having the experience and "listen to understand and not listen to fix it" because it's nothing to be fixed. Becky talks about the importance of including surgical menopause in part of the discussion. She shares how important running has been to help her work through all the things. Becky emphasizes the importance of periodizing your training and including strength training as part of your movement practice.
