Today on Season 4, Episode 1 of  "I Feel You" we chat with former finance expert on Wall Street, Shelly Lombard about imposter syndrome, finding your "why", and of course "not dying with the music inside you." 


Shelly Lombard has over 30 years of experience in finance on Wall Street. Recently, she has served as a director of several public companies. She is currently on the board of Craft 1861, where she is a member of the audit committee. Ms. Lombard was a member of the audit and the nominating/governance committees of the Bed Bath & Beyond board; the chair of the audit committee of the INNOVATE Corp and Spartacus Acquisition Corp. boards; and a member of the audit and compensation committees of
the Alaska Communications board. In 2021, she was selected as a Directorship Honoree by the National Association of Corporate Directors. Ms. Lombard is a financial expert who has expertise in financial statement review, corporate balance
sheet management and capital allocation, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and restructurings, and investor relations. From 2011 to 2014, she was the Director of Research for a boutique investment bank that specialized in trading high yield bonds and equities and arranging financing for high yield companies. From 2003 to 2010, she was a high yield bond analyst for a subscription research firm whose clients included institutional investors, mutual funds, and hedge funds. During that time, she was one of the most frequently quoted automotive analysts on Wall Street,
appearing in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and on CNBC. From 1992 to 2002, Ms. Lombard analyzed, invested in, and managed proprietary investments for ING Bank, Barclays Bank, Credit Lyonnais, and Chase Manhattan Bank where she helped launch the bank debt trading desk. She began her career in the leveraged finance group at Citibank and in the high yield commercial paper group at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Ms. Lombard has an MBA in Finance from Columbia University’s
Graduate School of Business
