I am originally from New Mexico but now live in Lubbock, Texas with my husband Dane, and kids Cole and Allie and our dog Zoe. We began "Raising Disabled" in 2020 after my daughter had a fall. I love sharing my faith on Instagram each week with "Devo with Deonna" and I am hoping that this podcast will create community with other parents who are raising disabled children and will also inspire others to advocate for the disabled community. I grew up in a small town in the Texas Panhandle. I now live in West Texas; Lubbock, Texas. My husband, Cole, and I have been married since 2010. We began Raising Disabled in 2016, after the birth of our oldest child, our daughter, Remington (“Remi”). Our second child was born in 2021; our typical child, our son, Barrett. I am a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant and my husband is a Nurse Practitioner. I am passionate about, not only sharing my story, but inspiring others through it.
