Did you Ever feel like life had you on the ropes and just needed a sign to keep going? Join me, Keona Talana, on this heartfelt episode of the Hearts Hello Show as I share a profoundly personal moment that reignited my faith and sense of direction. Picture this: feeling lost and heavy with life's burdens, I ventured to my favorite waterside retreat, only to stumble upon a car with a license plate reading "Second Wind." This serendipitous encounter was the spark I needed to realize that even in our darkest moments, a higher power guides us toward new beginnings.

Through candid reflections on my recent job loss, the emotional turbulence of a divorce, and the daunting task of re-entering the dating world, I explore the idea of a "second wind"—a season of renewal and strength. This episode is a testament to the resilience and the belief that closed doors are just preludes to more significant opportunities. Join me for an inspiring conversation to help you embrace your second wind with renewed confidence and optimism, knowing that support and guidance are always within reach.

Speaker 1:

Hey Heart Seekers, welcome to the Hearts Hello Show, where our hearts are the foundation of our well-being and happiness. I am your host, kiana Talena. In this episode, I want to specifically speak to the person who is just feeling heavy, the person who has been fighting their own internal battles that no one knows about. The person that has decided that they are taking their cape off because they are trying to heal their own wounds. I'm speaking to that person who just feels like they're extremely heavy and don't know what next to do. Well, I'm here to let you know that I believe that you are walking into a season of your second wind. Now let me explain.

Speaker 1:

Last week, I just needed to get out the house, clear my mind, and for me, my happy place is going to be anywhere close to some water. If I'm close to some water can see some water. I am just feeling at extreme peace. So I get in my car and I drive over with the expectation of knowing that I am going to get exactly what it is that I need when I get to the water. Well, I get out of my car, I walk around and I decide to venture to an area that I have not typically gone to before. So I'm walking, walking, walking and I get to a space where there is just not a lot of commotion, you don't have cars driving back and forth, and it was just a different scenery to a place that I have been to several times. So I see a bench. I take some time to go sit down and as I sit down at the bench, I put my head down for a second and I look up and there's this car in front of me. It's parked and on the tag of the car it said second win.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I wanted to just lose it at that moment. Not lose it to the point where I'm getting up and I'm jumping around, but to to the point where I felt like God never lets me down. See, when you get to a place where you are totally dependent upon what it is that the maker has for you, the creator has for you, that God has for you, and you are in complete expectation that when you ask, he's going to give you everything that you ask for. So, for me, that particular day, I needed answers, I needed some comforting, I needed to know that I was on the right track, because I felt like I was just spinning my wheels to back it up a little bit For me, I was in a place where, this year, I was a part of being a reduction in workforce, so I had never been laid off, ever having several jobs, never being laid off, and so, for me, it had me questioning my abilities.

Speaker 1:

Now, what I had to realize is that the reduction in workforce had nothing to do with my performance, and so, yes, that did make me feel better. But I'm like when you spend time with a company and you're like, you give it your all. How dare you? Let me go. So here I am, in my mind, I'm trying to question what could I have done differently? Why did this happen? And I had to just stop and think and realize what is it that God is trying to show me? See, I believe that any time a door closes, there is a new door that God is trying to show me. See, I believe that anytime a door closes, there's a new door that is getting ready to open. Hence why it was so significant for me to be able to see this license plate to say second wind.

Speaker 1:

Now, for those of you all who have been following the show for almost a full season now, you know that I have gone through a divorce, you know that I'm out here new to these dating streets after almost 20 years, and so there's a lot of newness, but then there's also a lot of heaviness that comes with that. There's also a lot of questions that go through your mind where it's like, hey, what is it that I need to do now? What direction should I be moving in? What should I be doing next within the business? Should I be doing more? How can I do more? Which direction should I be moving to?

Speaker 1:

So for me, and maybe for you too, to be able to know that I am walking into a season of my second win, my gosh, you all. It just does something to me. It gives me this level of courage, this level of boldness, this level of there's nothing that I can't do. It's just like when you may be outside, and it's something when you may be walking towards the wind, but when you have the wind at your back, you know that you're back, you know that you are now gaining speed, that you can now take off, and you have the world backing you. More importantly, you have God backing you, and so I'm excited because I know that it's not by happenstance that you have tuned into today's episode. It's not by happenstance that you have been listening to this show. It's not by happenstance that you are here today and, for some of you all, you are entering into the greatest season of your life. You are entering into your second wind.

Speaker 1:

I'm excited because not only am I personally entering into my second wind, you know that we're on this journey together. We're on this journey together, and so the ability to be able to take all of the weightiness off, to be able to know that you're regaining your strength you may feel tired, but your strength is coming back that you have the ability to be able to take this burst of energy that you are getting ready to come into, that's going to overcome this fatigue that you may be feeling. You all, I need you to harness this new season. I need you to understand and leverage, just with this renewed energy and enthusiasm and positive change and the pursuing of your goals, your dreams, your desires, means for your life, and I don't want you to miss it. I don't want you to miss what's right here in front of you. I don't want you to miss just being able to close your eyes and pretend that you are literally stepping into your second wind and for some of you, all you may need to take that time to just close your eyes and pretend that you are stepping into your second wind. Literally, take the step, know where you are, where you have been, all that you have overcome, and know that, as you take that step forward, you are entering into the greatest season of your life. I'm excited, y'all. I'm excited because being able to enter into a new season means so many different things. We literally just left spring and entered into summer last week, so we are legit in a new season. So I need you to harness that. I need you to understand what this means for your life and how, if you really take hold of this word and really take hold of the fact that this message, this episode, is for you, how it can change your life.

Speaker 1:

So how can you harness this new season that you're in? What are some of the steps that you need to be able to take? Well, the first thing that you're going to have to do is reflect. Reflect on what you learned from the previous season or phase in your life that you were in and identify what you want to change and or improve. Identify what you want to change and or improve. I need you to set goals, define clear, achievable goals for this new season. These can be personal, professional whatever aspect of your life you want to focus on. Then I need you to plan. I need you to create a plan of action to achieve your goals, being able to break it down into those smaller, bite-sized pieces that we've talked about, those manageable steps to avoid you feeling overwhelmed. Then I need you to stay flexible. I need you to be open to adjusting your goals and your plans as the season progresses.

Speaker 1:

Again, life will life, and life is dynamic, and it's that you have to be able to adapt to new circumstances. Again, you can't control everything. You can only control you, but the things that happen around you you can't control. So be flexible. Be flexible and then seek some support. Surround yourself with supportive people who can encourage you and motivate you. If that means you joining some groups or some communities that align with your goals, do so, and then I need you to celebrate your progress.

Speaker 1:

For some of you, all, it is even just the fact that you are taking hold of this word and agreeing with the fact that you are in your second wind season. Acknowledge that. Acknowledge all that you have already endured and acknowledge all that you have already gone through and know that none of it was just by happenstance. Know that none of it took place in your life just because. Know that everything that you have been through is a setup for where it is, that you're getting ready to go. You needed every test, every trial, every detour to get you to where you are, and so I need you to celebrate your progress.

Speaker 1:

Being able to acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small you are. This is going to help you to maintain your motivation and your momentum. It's almost like that person who is trying to push that boulder up the hill. As long as you have the momentum and you're constantly pushing, but the minute that you begin to stop and to slow down, that boulder gets heavy and for some people, they end up back down at the bottom of that hill trying to start over and push that boulder, even if it means, as you are pushing that boulder, you might need to ask for some help. Ask for some people that are going to come alongside of you to help you push. You don't have to do it all by yourself, hand raised. I'm that person, I know. I know that I'm the person that's going to try to take all of the groceries in the house at one time because I don't want to have to go back to the car to get anything else.

Speaker 1:

I know that it's the hardest thing to be able to ask for help, but what I'm saying is that sometimes, in order for you to get to the top a little faster, you're going to have to take some people with you. You're going to have to trust that the people that are coming into your life are there to help you and not harm you. I'll say that again because it spoke to me. I know that there are people that are coming to surround me to help me push in my purpose, and they're not here to take and to harm me. Trust the people that are coming into your life. If that is going to be your career, your business, your relationships, whatever it may be, they're there to help and not harm. And then I need you to stay positive. I need you to maintain a hopeful outlook Again as you're entering into a new season.

Speaker 1:

It's not always going to be easy and it's not supposed to be. Yes, you do have that wind on your back. Sometimes the wind isn't blowing and you still need to be able to move forward. So I need you to stay positive and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Last but not least, I need you to stay consistent. Keep up with your efforts, even when things get tough. Consistency is key to long-term success. So I know I gave you a lot of steps and I know that some of you all are going to have to go back and listen to that again, but I'll run them past. I'll run them down really quickly again Reflect, set goals, plan, stay flexible, seek support, celebrate your progress, stay positive and stay consistent.

Speaker 1:

I believe that by harnessing the energy of this new season that you are in, it is going to set you up for personal growth, development and success. I'm excited about this season that you are entering. I'm excited about us being in this season together, because I believe that this is going to be the greatest season of our lives. Will you harness it? Will you take hold of it? Will you harness it? Will you take hold of it? Will you decide today that you are going to live your life full out, that you are going to live your life full of purpose because you deserve it? Are you going to go after everything that you want hope and desire for knowing that you can achieve it, but you first have to believe that it is for you. You don't just see people who are successful and say, oh, I wish that was me, it can be you. But you have to make the decision, and your decision does not start tomorrow, it starts today. I'm excited about the decision that you've made.

Speaker 1:

I'm excited about this new level of faith that you have. We go from faith to faith, from glory to glory. We go from all of these different levels in our lives. We never stay on the same level. We never become a new version of ourselves and remain the same. And so, if you believe that, if you believe that you are entering into the best season of your life, own it and don't allow anyone to tell you any difference. It's yours for the taking, and now the only person who can hold you back is you. Don't stand in your way. Don't stand in your own way. Let's go, let's run, let's go after everything that belongs to us and don't allow anyone to get in your way. If you have to run through them, do so. It's your time, and I'm excited you all, I'm excited about us being able to journey together. I'm excited about our transformation. I'm excited about where we're getting ready to go, because our time is now. I just want to thank you again for listening, tuning in, reflecting, growing, because we're going through this adventure together Until next time.
