Dr. Bekelis is the Chairman of Neurointerventional Services for Catholic Health, the Director of the Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island, and the Co-Director of the Neuro ICU at Good Samaritan University Hospital. He is one of the most widely published stroke researchers in the country, with several national and international awards.
 
 Dr. Bekelis' clinical work has been recognized by the community of Long Island. He received the Neurologic Science Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Award by the American Stroke/Heart Association, the Contemporary Award by the Long Island Elite, the RAISE Outstanding Individual Award by the National Stroke Association, the Innovations in Healthcare Award by the Long Island Business News, and the Excellence in Healthcare Award for Quality Improvement Champions by the National Hospital Fund. He has been voted as Best Neurosurgeon on Long Island for multiple years in a row.
 

Jason Wallen is one of the most experienced Registered Radiographic Technologists in endovascular neurosurgery in the country.
In the Stroke and Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island, Jason leads the dedicated team of radiation technologists tasked to deliver superior clinical care utilizing the most advanced tools. He is in charge of inventory and new technology evaluation for the center. He additionally heads our support group for patients and families, the only comprehensive support group in the South Shore of Long Island.
