Jaime Fleming

Jaime Fleming, our Westside host, brings twenty years of experience in the water sector with a focus on water quality, laboratory analysis, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and utility management.

Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a Master of Public Administration, from Grand Valley State University.

She is an active and engaged member of the Michigan Section of AWWA. since joining in 2004.

Her passion has led her to many different roles and projects. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees and leads MI-AWWA’s engagement with affordability policy and legislation.

Jaime, her husband, Wil, and their German Shepherd, Odin, live in the West Michigan area. They have a blended family of 4 kids – college age or older - who all live close enough to drop by for dinner.

When she’s not doing “Water Things” you can find her curled up with a book or a podcast, gaming with Wil, or geeking out on local politics.

Matt Lane

Matt Lane, our Eastside host, is an experienced professional whose local government work stretches from Southeast Michigan to Mid-Michigan, the Thumb and beyond.
He has served as a manager in the Financial Services Area at the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) in Detroit since 2022. He is responsible for leading and executing complex projects related to utility rates and charges in alignment with organizational objectives related to affordability, member partner (customer) engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term financial strategies. 
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in journalism and a Master of Public Administration, both from Eastern Michigan University.  He and his wife Jenna have two children, a boy, Jack , a girl, Emma and they are expecting their third child in early 2024.
