Just came across your podcast, and I love your memories! I have a 10 year old that just started playing select/travel ball. She’s also a pitcher and I loved episode 2 talking about the flip change! Evan has been throwing it for about 6 months, and it’s so deadly. It’s a 13 mile per hour difference from her fastball so the girls are so off balance. Hello, I am a 12u travel ball pitcher in Northern California. I will be going into 14u in the fall. The team I am on now is not very well known. Should I look for a more well known organization for my first 14u season, or stay where I am to get used to the 14u distance? Thanks so much- I love your show.

thanks for these podcasts. Saw it on a facebook post and had it bookmarked. Really enjoying it. My daughter is 13 years old, we are from nj, she is moving from 12u to 14u starting in the fall. She played on a small club team who played a mix of B and C tournaments to NJ Pride who plays a really tough A and B schedule so its a big transition year for her. She is a 2b/cf a bit undersized so we have a hitting coach working on righty and also slapping over the last 6-9 months. She plays field hockey as well but softball takes up 99% of her time/energy/mindset. My biggest concern is the mental side. Even if she bats close to .400 there is so much failure in softball and it’s such a mind game. Im trying not to put to much pressure on her but its really hard because i see the potential.
