There's a saying: "we are what we eat"...

And it's true - what, when and how we eat contributes to our overall health, wellbeing and longevity.

What we eat impacts how we feel. How we feel about ourselves + food in general, impacts what, when and how we eat - it's all intricately linked.

When we feel stressed out we're more likely skip meals, or go for the quick fix, or self-soothe with "comfort" foods.

Butttttt when we eat comfort foods all the time lots of carbs, sugar and fat - and later at night - it places additional stress on our digestive system.

Why? because decadent foods are a lot to digest + when eating them late at night, our metabolism is slowing down for sleep, so the combination creates more stress on our body than actual relief.

Quick fixes, are OK once in a while. They are not recommended everyday - especially if we're already experiencing IBS, bloating, gas, GERD, sleep issues, brain fog, low libido or other imbalances.

In this episode, Leah and I dive a bit deeper into:
- our eating habits + food choices
- how... what, when and how we eat helps us feel + be our best while also reducing stress in our body and mind
AND
- mindset: how our relationship with food - our judgments, narratives or negative self talk about it, impacts our choices...

Ultimately, when we feel good in our body, we're more active. When we're more active, we crave healthier foods - like lean protein and more produce. Whereas, when we feel disconnected, stressed or overwhelmed all the time, we're more likely to binge watch TV, eat "junk food" and retreat from social opportunities or exercise routines.

It's a really great episode! We're excited for you to give it a listen :)
