Collin Friesen

 Collin Friesen’s latest project as writer/director was the feature film SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. But his career started as a TV and radio reporter in Canada. After working for the CBC, Collin moved to LA to attend the American Film Institute. His first film THE BIG WHITE, starred Robin Williams and Holly Hunter. He was also on staff for the X-FILES spinoff THE LONE GUNMEN, and as a Story Editor for the first season of SCHITT’S CREEK. A graduate of the FOX SEARCHLABand the PARAMOUNT COMEDY WRITERS’ APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM, Collin has also kept a foot in the audio world, contributing numerous short documentaries for the NPR shows THE FRAME and OFF RAMP. He also served as a consulting producer on the AMAZON PRIME series THIS GIANT BEAST THAT IS THE GLOBAL ECONOMY, the VICE TV series DEVOURED and their upcoming documentary about Vince McMahon.

TARA MCNAMARA – Producer/Co-host 

 

As a film journalist, critic, and historian, Tara is a contributor to TV, print, and digital outlets including Variety, Entertainment Tonight and Fandango, and focuses on motivating people to reflect on how media messages affect their own actions and opinions. As the Editor-in-Chief of 80sMovieGuide.com, she explores and celebrates movies from the “totally tubular” decade, looking through a modern lens at why they’re so beloved. As the Chair of the Critics Choice Association’s Women’s Committee, Tara leads the CCA’s Seal of Female Empowerment in Entertainment initiative. Tara is currently the guest programmer and co-host of the Turner Classic Movies spotlight series, "The Hays Gaze," airing Monday nights in July.
