Joey went vegan May 20, 2012, and has never looked back since that fateful day. Eschewing stereotypes, Joey likes only a few vegetables, isn't much of an activist, and even admits to liking the taste of meat. Despite all that, he gladly makes the sacrifice with every meal because his love for animals far outweighs his love of eating them. Joey is a self-proclaimed geek who likes movies, comic books, and science fiction. He also has a beautiful English Bulldog named Khaleesi.

Jon's journey to veganism kicked off in the fall of 2019 after watching the documentary "Game Changers." Being an all-or-nothing kind of guy, he immediately swore off meat for good. But ice cream? It took another year to conquer that creamy temptation. Thanks to his wife Vanessa's incredible cooking, Jon is now proud to have been fully vegan since 2020. His love for not harming animals is only rivaled by his obsession with hockey. He hits the ice two to three times a week, proving to all carnivores out there that yes, you too can power your game with tofu and beans!

Vanessa has always had a deep love for animals. As a child, she would rescue stray dogs and cats, nurturing them with care and compassion. However, it wasn't until 2019 that she fully realized the connection between her love for animals and her dietary choices, which was especially difficult in her home country of Brazil, where eating meat is a huge part of the culture. This realization led her to embrace a vegan lifestyle, opening up a world of delicious, cruelty-free food and sustainable living. Known for her unique perspective and ability to think outside the box, Vanessa chose a career in engineering, a field traditionally dominated by men. Her experience as a woman engineer has prepared her for the challenges and opportunities that come with being vegan. In her free time, Vanessa is a passionate traveler, and enjoys creative pursuits like building LEGO sets, investing in the stock market, and engaging in crafts like knitting, crocheting, and sewing.
