Hello everyone and happy Friday. I am actually recording this on Thursday morning sitting around my table during my quiet time and I hope it's okay with God that I'm recording this before I do my breathing and my prayer. But this was fresh in my mind and I'm just kind of sitting on this so I thought, well, I'll just go ahead and record this. As many of you are, I am going through the Bible in a year, through the Bible recap. So today's reading was in Samuel, and it was one of the more well-known stories of the Bible where David defeated Goliath, and so I hope that some of you have read this with me too. One of the things that stuck out to me today, while reading or while listening because I actually listen through the Bible app and then I listen to the Bible recap I do have the book, but I haven't. I don't read it, I just listen to it. So one of the things that stuck out to me was really it was not when I was in the Word, but it was in Terry Lee Cobble's recapping of it and when David, when Saul told David, okay, yes, you can, even though you're just a kid, you can try and defeat Goliath he put him in his armor, like the armor of Saul's army, and David said I, you know, like this, this isn't me, this isn't, this is too heavy, like this doesn't fit. And so he took it off this is too heavy, like this doesn't fit. And so he took it off. And then, when he took it off, he was able to kill Goli. How often am I trying to wear the armor of someone else? How often am I trying to fit into a group? Now, obviously, as I've gotten older, this is definitely less, less. But I'm just sitting here thinking. You know, I, as a Christian communicator, like I sometimes feel like, oh gosh, I need to really be, you know, throwing not throwing, but including Bible verses in what I'm doing and I need to be using. You know, a certain certain words or whatever, and I'm just, that's just not me. And so you know a certain certain words or whatever, and I'm just, that's just not me, and so you know. I think that we all have times and places where we're in a new environment and we're around new people, or at least this is me. Maybe you don't do this, but it's like. How many times am I trying to wear the armor of something that does not fit me and that is not me, and that I can't do what I am able to do because I'm trying to for lack of a better word fit in Now. If you don't have that problem, I'm so glad for you. Now, if you don't have that problem, I'm so glad for you. But I'm, this is a, this is my uncut space and I think I can admit that I still do that a little bit. Again, it's less now that I'm more, now that I'm older and more comfortable. Like, okay, amy, is this, are you being fully you or are you trying to fit in? So those are my thoughts for today.
Speaker 1Amy and Kat, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I hope you're enjoying the dripping chapters of your Core Strength as I record. This has been a super fun week and the episode or, I'm sorry, the books are in, or the book, excuse me is in three different categories and it is currently the number one new release in diet and nutrition, fitness and exercise, both for teens. And then it's like the number 12 new release in teens Christianity, which I wouldn't expect it to be that high in Christianity. But keep sharing, keep telling people about it. I'm super excited. I've already seen it, I've already been able to provide it as a resource for someone, which is really what I want it to do. I want it to be a resource, I want it to be something to help these young women. So have a wonderful weekend. We'll talk soon. Bye-bye.
