In this episode of the KoopCast Coach Jason Koop speaks with Alan McCubbin, PhD.

Today’s episode of the podcast is with sports scientist Alan McCubbin out of Melbourne Australia. Alan is a PhD as well as an accredited Sports Dietitian with a speciality in nutrition for endurance and ultra-endurance sports. He has worked as a practitioner for 15 years, founding his online business Next Level Nutrition in 2010 to consult to athletes via videoconference. His clients have included everyone from first time marathon runners to summer and winter Olympians and he also consults to Triathlon Australia's High Performance Program. He has also published a number of different research articles including a case study on the 2016 Marathon des Sables a recent position stand for sports dietician australia on nutrition for exercise in hot environments which we reference in this podcast. He is also a lecturer and researcher in sports nutrition at Monash University, where he completed a PhD studying the effect of dietary salt intake on sweat composition.
