Samuel Boyden (England Netball) bonus episode: You will never be bored
Netball is an exciting, fast, and skillful game of fair contest, where two teams of seven players each strive to keep or gain possession of the ball.
The team with the ball, through running, jumping, throwing, and catching, attempts to move the ball into its goal circle from where a goal may be scored, while the opposing team uses defensive movements and strategies to prevent this and to gain possession. The team with the greater number of goals is the winner of the match.
This may sound like basketball, but it’s not. The rules, the equipment, and the team numbers are different, there is no dribbling, and no running with the ball. 7 players, ball passed within 3 seconds, ball & basket slightly smaller, no backboard, players designated to certain areas.
Netball is a fast-growing sport that is fun to play and fun to watch, and in this bonus episode of TicketingPodcast.com Samuel Boyden, Ticketing Manager at England Netball, explains why your next match should be a netball match.
The episode was recorded on 31 May 2023.
