Ep. 109 Rethinking tight muscles- Stretching isn't always the answer
In this episode, we are diving into a common misconception that a tight muscle doesn't always mean you need to stretch. This conversation is inspired by patients who come into the office saying they need to do more stretching or asking for a stretch routine because their muscles are tight. We have to stop and assess why those muscles are tight or always tight for some people. Why do you continue to do the same thing if you have been stretching for years with only temporary or no change? Maybe that's because the tight muscle you are stretching needs support differently. Tune into this episode as we learn common reasons why muscles feel tight, instances where stretching isn't the solution, and alternative solutions to stretching aka strengthening.
